MailBox wreathsGlenda's Quilt 28" X 38" Maria's Quilt 30" X 40"
Our Wreaths are all dressed up for the holiday season and are ready to go – to your mailbox!
Maria chose to use eight different Japanese taupe "white" fabrics, combining prints and yarn dyes for the backgrounds of her quilt and greens and reds in prints and yarn dyes from Japan for the wreaths.
I chose to make my quilt with softer shades of the traditional red & green. I’ve designed “chunkier” folk art versions of 4 traditional Baltimore Album blocks, and combined them with Maria’s pieced designs (with a couple little add-ons).
This 5 week series will begin October 15 and will run through December 10.
Now the details:How to join: First, decide which quilt you would like to make. The pictures below show our finished quilts. If you choose to make my quilt you will receive the individual block designs as shown and my Hand Dyed Sueded Cottons for the duration of the series. Maria's Fabric Japanese Taupe Fabric
Taupe is a unique fabric most popular among Japanese quilters. The delicate gradation of colors and muted hues gracefully blend two or more color families to create Taupe Prints. Taupe Yarn Dyes are woven fabrics with subtle color and textures created by Japan’s age-old fabric weaving skills and taste.
